ladies we love
over the past year, i’ve gotten to know jennie pretty well. not just as a customer at the shop but now also as a very good friend. it’s no secret that i have so much respect for people who are authentically themselves and have no problem stating their opinion and making a point. jennie does this effortlessly. following her blog and on her twitter, i have such a perfect idea of who jennie is… and one which matches her true persona honestly and sincerely. she’s professional, open-minded, thoughtful, hard-working and smart. jennie makes everyone around them feel important and she doesn’t care who they are or what they can do for her. i think that this is a very valuable character trait of successful (sincere) people around the world… being present in the moment… regardless of who is around.
sometimes working with bloggers who really know fashion and what looks good on them can be a challenge for me (someone who always wants people to try something new and step outside of their comfort zone.) but with jennie, it was different from day one. after the first time i got her to change her mind on hi-waist jeans and also force her to to put more color into her life, now i’m ruthless. we’ve collaborated on many things together over the past year and each of them have been a joy.

but sometimes i just like showing her what she wants… a hot black shakuhachi dress!

love you, jennie… glad you came west!
