ladies we love
there are so many wonderful things that i could say about anne sage. foremost, she is the creative force behind one of my favorite blog obsessions, the city sage. she loves music, and art, and interior design, and fashion, and cooking and baking, and she’s also a dailey method devotee. and now she’s a senior editor at 7x7 magazine and also a former editor of rue magazine. somehow she finds the time to do it all!
but what i want to tell you about anne most of all is that she is a formulator of harebrained schemes. yesyes she is! and whenever she includes me in one of these so-called schemes, i never say no. i might as well have an auto-reply to anne sage that always says yes. because if you call photographing pretty dresses in our iconic fairmont hotel harebrained, you know that i’m SO in.
somehow anne always manages to discover the same designers that i love (and sometimes carry in my shop) and finds a way to have them photographed so absolutely gorgeously in settings that i could never imagine. the ace & jig dunes dress deserves to be nowhere less than the penthouse, baby. am i right?

or then there was this other time when she decided to channel a haunted 60s housewife. (yes, i am a serious mad men fanatic and went right along with it!) it seems to me that shakuhachi must have been right there with us… because anne in their dresses certainly gave beloved betty draper a run for her money.

stunning woodnote photography of the incomparable bat wing dress.

woodnote photography of my personal favorite, the egg-shaped maxi.
so just so you know for next time, anne. yes, the answer is always yes. and thank you for including me! XO
